Bridges with final drives (fig. 3.106 and 3.107) are established completely (forward and back) on modification of cars of family UAZ-31512 with simultaneous replacement of the back driveshaft.

   Maintenance of bridges with final drives differs from above described by technology of replacement of lubricant in hinges of rotary fists of forward bridges, check and replacement of oil in cases of final drives, and also adjustments of provision of the leading gear wheel of the 16th main transfer and its bearings 5 and 7 (see fig. 3.106).
After adjustment of a side gap it is necessary to check gearing of gear wheels of the main transfer on a contact spot as it is specified in the section "Assembly and Adjustment of Knots of the Back Bridge" (page 73).
After the run of 50 000 km at the next maintenance it is recommended to make tightening of bolts of fastening of the conducted gear wheel 44 final drives and the conducted gear wheel of the 55th main transfer, and also bolts of fastening of the removable case of the bearing 25 of the final drive.
The provision of a gear wheel 16 is regulated by selection of an adjusting ring of the 15th necessary thickness. When replacing gear wheels of the main transfer and the big conic bearing or only gear wheels of the main transfer measure the assembly height of the big conic bearing 5 under axial load of 2-2,5 kN (200–250 kgfs) and if it less than the size of 32,95 mm at any size, then increase thickness of an adjusting ring by the same size in comparison with that which was established in a bridge case. When replacing only of the big conic bearing 5 not to violate the provision of a gear wheel, measure the assembly height of old and new bearings and if at the new bearing assembly height is more, than at old, then reduce thickness of an adjusting ring 15 and if it is less, then increase by the size of a difference of heights of bearings.
Regulate a tightness in bearings 5 and 7 selection of an adjusting ring 6 and an inhaling of a nut 10. If it does not manage to be made, then change the number of laying 13 and again selection of a ring and an inhaling of a nut achieve such preliminary tightness of bearings that axial movement of a gear wheel was absent, and the gear wheel rotated without big effort. A dynamometer carry out check at the removed rubber cuff 8. At the correct adjustment at the time of a gear wheel provorachivaniye for an opening in a flange the dynamometer has to show 10–20 N (1–2 kgfs) for the earned extra bearings and 25–35 N (2,5–3,5 kgfs) for new.
You make replacement of lubricant in hinges of rotary fists in the following order:

1. Disconnect a flexible hose from the wheel cylinder of the brake mechanism and tips of steering drafts from levers, turn off bolts of fastening of holders of sealing rings of a spherical support and shift holders with sealing rings on a neck of a spherical support (fig. 3.107).
2. Turn off nuts of hairpins of fastening of the lever or bolts of fastening of the top slip шкворня and remove the lever or a slip and adjusting laying.
3. Turn off bolts of fastening of the lower slip, remove a slip with adjusting laying.

4. Take out by means of a stripper (see fig. 3.102) shkvorn from the case of a rotary fist and remove the case assembled with the hinge of a spherical support.
5. Carefully, without moving apart a fork (that balls did not jump out), take out the hinge assembled with bearings and a gear wheel from the case of a rotary fist. Without special need to take out the hinge from the case of a rotary fist and to make its dismantling does not follow.
6. Remove the fulfilled lubricant from a spherical support, the hinge and the case, carefully wash out kerosene and put fresh lubricant.
Carry out assembly in the sequence, the return dismantling, observing requirements for adjustment shkvorny. At installation of a flexible hose of the drive of the brake mechanism do not allow its twisting. After assembly pump over system of the drive of brake mechanisms (see the section "Working Brake System").
   Disassemble the final drive in the following order:
1. After removal of a nave with the brake drum (see the section "Removal, Dismantling and Assembly of Naves") unscrew on a back brake board the coupling of the pipeline of the drive of the brake mechanism (on forward – a tee of connecting tubes and a flexible hose) from the wheel cylinder, turn off nuts of hairpins of fastening of a pin and remove spring washers, a maslootrazhatel, a pin, laying of a pin, spring laying, the brake mechanism assembled and laying of a board of the brake mechanism.
2. Turn off a nut 45 (see fig. 3.106) fastenings of the bearing on conducted to a shaft of the final drive, turn out bolts of fastening of a cover of a case of the final drive, uncover assembled with shaft, remove laying of a cover and a vypressuyta a shaft from a cover.
Unlike the left final drive a shaft 39 and a nut of the 45th right transfer have the left carving. The nut with the left carving is noted by a ring flute, and a shaft – deaf drilling with a diameter of 3 mm in an end face of the shlitsevy end.
3. Turn off bolts of fastening of the conducted gear wheel and remove a gear wheel from a shaft 39.
4. Note position of the case of the roller bearing 25 on inflow of a case of the final drive of the back bridge, turn off bolts of fastening of the case, remove the bearing case. Without special need do not remove the case of the roller bearing of the final drive of the forward bridge. (A further order of dismantling of the final drive of the forward bridge see above in the description of replacement of lubricant in hinges of rotary fists.) Take out from a case of the final drive a lock ring 22 ball bearings 21, a half shaft 18 and a maslootrazhatel 20.
5. Remove from a half shaft a lock ring of the 26th roller bearing, the roller bearing 25, the leading gear wheel 47 and the ball bearing.
Collect the final drive as it should be, the return to dismantling, taking into account the following: a nut of fastening of the bearing 45 (fig. 3.106) on conducted to a shaft of forward and back final drives, and also a nut 19 (see fig. 3.107) fastenings of the bearing and a gear wheel on the raskernit conducting to a shaft of the forward final drive after an inhaling in a shaft groove, and rings of the 26th latching of bearings on half shafts of reverse final drives after installation in a flute press out; bolts of fastening of a wheel (the conducted gear wheel) and the removable case of the bearing tighten the moment 64–78 N · m (6,5–8,0 kgfs · l), bolts of fastening of a cover of a case – 35–39 N · m (3,6–4,0 kgfs · м).
At repair of bridges with final drives use data of tables 3.10 and 3.11.
